National Testing Service (NTS) is providing Graduate Assessment Test for admissions in MS and MPhill programmes. The aim of GAT test is to measure the eligibility of candidates and their knowledge skills according to admissions criteria. The results of test establish ranking of candidates by judging their performance which help in on merit admissions
The tests of GAST are designed on the basis of specified criteria provided by Universities of Pakistan. The candidates can reappear in GAT exams for improving their previous grades. The GAT Test is renowned assessment; it is accepted for admissions by Universities across Pakistan. NTS service is most reliable testing service of Pakistan because of timely delivery of results and conduction of examinations, consistent quality, impactful assessment, cost effectiveness, score reporting, fair evaluation and efficient monitoring of examinations.
GAT test is divided into three categories: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning. Verbal Reasoning is further consisted of Prefixes, Suffixes, Antonyms, Conceptual, Tenses and Aspects, Part of Speech, Conditionals, Functions, Comprehension, Inference, Linking Devices, and Main Idea.
Quantitative Reasoning is consisted of Arithmetic: Business Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Consumer Mathematics, Percentage Ratio and Proportion, Zakat, Ushar and Inheritance, Fundamental of Geometry, Practical Geometry, Areas and Volumes, Matrices and Determinants, Basic Statistics, Arithmetic and Geometric Sequences, Linear Graphs, Sets and Functions, Introduction to Trigonometry, Projection of a side of a triangle, Chords of a circle, Tangent to a circle, Chords and Arcs, Angles in a segment of a circle, Practical geometry circles, Congruent Triangles, Parallelograms and Triangles, Line Bisectors and Angle Bisectors and Basic Statistics and Probability. Analytical Reasoning is consisted of Deductive and inductive logic, Critical thinking and writing skills.
GAT tests are available in Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta and Rawalpindi. The GAT test is valid for two years. The aim of NTS service is to conduct impactful, fair and tests of international standards in order to assess the performance of candidates for admission, scholarship and recruitment purposes, to overtake research on educational, professional and testing systems to identify the prevailing academic and operational gaps in the systems, to build potential growth of the educational and professional individuals and institutions by professional certification through testing and assessment and to produce and spread information and research on education and professional development standards.
NTS has vision to expand its services to more 10 million people till year 2020.It is planning to introduce more assessments tests of international standards such as: SAT (I and II), ACT, GRE (Gen and Subject), GMAT, MCAT, LSAT, Work force assessment for job eligibility many various others.
