D pharmacy in Pakistan is approved by Higher Education Commission and recognized by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan and is also accepted worldwide.

According to Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, there are 546 D Pharmacy colleges in Pakistan in which "institutions offering degree programs for registration in Register A" public sector colleges are 26 in total while private sector colleges are 32 in number. 43 colleges have been granted NOC to start Pharm. D. Program while 445 colleges are offering Pharmacy Technician Programs.
