During the last 58 years, 7500 doctors have graduated from FJMU. 250 students are admitted at Fatima Jinnah Medical College every year. 50% of these seats are reserved for Federal Govt. Students from Sindh, NWFP, Baluchistan, FATA, PATA; AJK & Northern Areas are admitted on these federal Government seats. To maintain good relations with neighboring Islamic nations, 23 seats are reserved as PTAP (Pakistan Technical Assistance Program).
The university also give admission to postgraduate students and this produce a large number of specialists in the fields of medicine, surgery, obstetrics / gynecology, ophthalmology and basic sciences with world-class training at this institution. Presently, 130 post-graduates in various disciplines at various stages of their post-graduation are studying at FJMU.
To take admission at Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore students should pass their HSC/A level exam with 60%marks. The Candidates then attempt entry test .The merit list for the students will be displayed on the given date online and at the university campus.

For 2020-18 session, all those candidates who are Pakistani national can apply for the admission in 1st year of MBBS with 60% or higher marks in F.Sc (Higher Secondary School) examination or some equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Islamabad (IBCC).Application Forms and online deposit slip are available on NTS official website with a prescribed fee. Besides the general entry test Fatima Jinnah Medical University also take JCAT (Joint Centralized Admission Test.
