Cambridge International, in coordination with the British Council and local officials, has cancelled all scheduled examinations for Friday, May 9, in several regions of Pakistan due to security-related concerns.

This cancellation affects students appearing for Cambridge O Level, IGCSE, and International AS & A Level exams in Punjab, Islamabad Capital Territory, Muzaffarabad, and Mirpur. The decision was made as a safety measure to protect both students and staff in light of the current situation.

Only the exams scheduled for May 9 are affected in these locations. Institutions linked to Cambridge Direct or operating under the British Council in the mentioned areas must comply with this directive. Regarding exams planned for Monday, May 12, further updates will be issued to schools by Sunday evening, May 11.

In the rest of the country, exams on May 9 are still expected to take place as planned, unless circumstances change. Cambridge has committed to ongoing evaluation of the situation and will inform schools promptly of any further developments.

To maintain fairness for students impacted by the cancellations, Cambridge will implement its standard procedures to award grades based on established assessment policies.
