In the Sindh Province, districts of Larkana, Dadu, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Badin and Thatta or major rice producing areas.

In Baluchistan province, only Jafarabad and Nasirabad districts are major rice producing districts. Total rice production in Pakistan is more than 7 million metric tonns.
