In 1968 the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Sargodha was created under the Ministry of Education. The Board comes under the Control of Punjab province. In Punjab province there are nine educational bodies handling all the educational matters of Punjab province and Sargodha board is one of the main board of the province. All the educational matters of matric and intermediate exams of Sargodha region are under the control of Sargodha Board. Since the board is created it has raised the status of education in the region and now thousands of thousands students of the region have gotten their degrees through this board. The board also holds the diploma courses and exams for these courses are conducted according to the schedule. The duration of these courses consists of one year and these are mandatory for teachers. Students belong to Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar districts are bound to appear in the exams under Sargodha Board.
