Rawalpindi board is a self-governing board built in 1977 to conduct the matric and intermediate exams. Before its inauguration it was linked with Sargodha Board. The board is working independently under the ministry of education and every year hold matriculation and intermediate examinations in a transparent and unbiased environment. Every year students from Rawalpindi and remote areas get admission in secondary and higher secondary classes. The affiliated parts of RBISE are Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal districts.
