What is physics ? Discuss the importance of physics ?

Ans 1: Physics:
The branch of science which deals with the properties of matter energy and their mutual relationship is known as physics.
Physics has played on importance role in our daily life.
1. The electronic media like T.V, radio, Loudspeaker, Telephone, cell phone, Photo phone for machine etc are the important source of communication which works on the principles of physics.
2. Information technology is based on the principle of physics which is the scientific method of storing, protecting, processing, Transmitting, receiving and retrieving information
3. The whole world has become a global village due to use of computer net works which works on the principles of physics.
4. Atomic bomb is the invention of physics which can be used for the production of huge amount of energy. It can be also used for defence purposes.
5. X-rays, Y-rays Laser rays etc. are the inventions of physics which can be used in industry, health and agriculture department for various purposes.
6. Cathode ray oscilloscope (C.R.O) is the invention of physics which can be used as graph plotting device to see the wave from of a repetitive electronic signals the C.R.O can be also used in T.V circuits in computers system and as A.C circuits or D.C circuits circuits.
7. All means of transport, like aeroplane buses, motor cycles, railways etc work on the principles of physics
8. Electricity is the invention of physics without which we can not imagine any machine in working conditions
9. Rockets and satellites are the invention of physics with the help of which we can get information about the upper atmosphere.
10. The simple machine like pulley, wedge, like leaver screw-jack etc are the invention of physics which can be used for various purposes invention of physics which can be used for various purpose in daily life.
11. Physics explain the natural phenomena in term of fundamental principles and basics and basic Laws
12. Electron microscope is the invention of physics which is used to see distant objects clearly.
13. Microphone is the invention of physics which can be used to study microorganisms clearly and easily
14. Telescope is the invention of physics which is used to see distance objects clearly.
15. Physics employs the essential steps of scientific method observation recording analysis prediction and verification.

What are coplanar and concurrent forces?

Ans 1: All the forces lying in the same plane are called coplanar forces.
All the forces acting on the same point are called concurrent forces.

Define and explain work ?

Ans 1: Work:The scalar product of force and displacement is known as work.
Explanation:Consider a force 'F' is acting on a body of mass 'm' and moves it form point 'A' to point 'B' through a displacement 'd'
Work = Force * displacement
W = F*d cosO

Question # 4

One can buy a cheap microscope for used by the children. The image seen in such a microscope has coloured edges.Why is this so?

Ans 1: It is due to the defects of lenses known a chromatic aberrations. This is because of the prism like formation of the lens which causes dispersion of white light.

What are non-conventional energy sources? Describe briefly.

Ans 1: The energy sources which are not very common theses days are called non- conventional energy sources. Some of the non-conventional energy sources are :
1. Energy from tides
2. Energy from waves
3. Energy from biomass
4. Energy from waste products
5. Solar Energy
6. Geothermal Energy

What is the minimum number of unequal vector in to a null vector?Explain

Ans 1: The minimum number of unequal vector to result in to a null vector must be three. If we add three vector of unequal magnitude in such a way that they forms the sides of a triangle, then their resultant must be zero.
In the given figure three vectors A, B, and C are added according to head to tail rule and they form the side of a triangle. Now for getting their resultant, we will combine the tail of A with the head of C which already coincides each other. Thus we get a null vector or zero vector as a resultant
R= A+B+C = 0

Ans 1: Scalar Quantities:Those quantities which are completely specified by their magnitude only, are known as scalar quantities. For example Speed, Mass, energy, work, power.
Vector Quantities:Those physical quantities which are completely specified by their magnitude and proper direction are known as vector quantities. For example Momentum, Acceleration, torque.

Explain conservation of direction of angular momentum.

Ans 1: The direction of angular momentum along the axis of rotation remains fixed. This is due to the fact that the axis of rotation of an object will not change its orientation unless an external torque causes it to do so .

Two vectors have unequal magnitude.Can their components be equal in magnitude?

Ans 1: No, the components of two vectors cannot be equal in magnitude if the two vector have unequal magnitudes.

Why the microwaves are used in satellite communication?

Ans 1: Micro waves are used in satellite communication because they travel in a narrow beam, in a straight line and pass easily through the atmosphere of the earth.

Ans 1: In stationary waves energy cannot flow past the nodes and remains "standing" in the medium between nodes. Therefore stationary waves are called standing waves.

Define polarization of light.

Ans 1: The phenomenon in which the vibration of waves can be oriented to any one direction (plane), That may be vertical, horizontal or any other direction is called polarization of light.

What are base units name all of them?

Ans 1: The units associated with the base quantities are called base units. Other units are derived from base units . There are meter, Kilogram, second, candela, mole, ampere, kelvin.

Define the process of painting with one example.

Ans 1: It is structual adaptation for heat regulation in dogs. Painting is evaporative cooling in the respiratory tract for temperature regulation.

Ans 1: Born-Haber Cycle: The sum of energy changes for a closed cyclic process is zero, If the initial and final states are same.
Lattice Energy: The amount of energy released when gaseous ions of opposite charges combine to give one mole of a crystalline ionic compound.

How is the distance calculated from velocity time graph?

Ans 1: Area under the velocity time graph line is equal to the distance covered by the body.
