Ans 1: In a component chart, the length of the bars are used while ina pie chart, the area of the sector of a circle is used. Both charts can be used to compare the relation between the whole and its componetns.

Difference between class limits and class boundaries.

Ans 1: Class limit: The class limits are defined as the values of the variable which explain the classes, the smaller value is clled as lower calss limit and the larger value is called as upper class limt.
Ans 2: Class boundaries: The class boundareis are the exact values, which break up one class from another class. The smaller value of the class boundaries and the larger value as upper class boundary.

Ans 1: Class boundary are the true class limits.Class boundary is the midpoint of the upper class limit of one class and the lower class limit of the subsequent class.

Ans 1: Discrete classes are separate entities that progress from one class to the next with a break, e.g. the number children in each family as 0 - 1, 2- 3, Continuous classes progress from one class to the next without a break e.g. the weights in pounds of students as 109.5 - 119.5- 129.5

Ans 1: A pie Chart consists of a circle subdivided into varies sectors.

Ans 1: 1- Qualitative when data are classified by attributes, e.g. sex, religion etc.
Ans 2: 2- Quantitative when data are classified by quantitative characteristics, e.g. height, weight, etc.
Ans 3: 3- Geogrophical when data are classified by geographical regions or locations, e.g. the population of a country may be classified by privince or disricts.
Ans 4: 4- Chronological or temporal when data are arranged by their time of occurrence, such arrangement is called a time series.
