Affectionately known as ‘Bacha’ Khan or ‘King’ Khan amongst his people, Ghaffar Khan’s life was dedicated to the social reform of the Pukhtuns, who traditionally adhere to a strict code of life, ‘Pukhtunwali’, governed by rather rigid tribal norms.
