The Indian Soldiers, recrutied from all parts of British India, were thus the true representatives of the Indian people wwho wer not accessible to political indoctrination as ehter were no viable communications. The Soldiers fought alongside the British troops in several wars in Asia, Africa and Europe and thus acquired a positive vision of freedom which was maniifested in the numerous mutinies in the Indian Army especially in the sepoy mutity in 1857m and the decisive revolt against British discrimination and hauuteur in Singapore in February 1942, under Captain Mohan Singh, which induced the British to quite India in August 1947, for fear of another 1857.
