Nobel Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai spent her 19th birthday on Tuesday by visiting the biggest refugee camp, showing interest that Kenya’s idea to finish Dadaab camp within the year would create a generation lost.

In conversation with The Associated Press, the teen-aged supporter for girl’s education said that it would be voluntary if there would be a return of more than 300,000 refugees to the neighboring Somalia while it would remain in the grip of terrorist attack.

She said that they should not be forced to move. She further added that it is predicted that soon the camp would be closed; so she wants to ensure that the girls don’t become a complete generation lost and there are several substitute ways through which they could continue their education.

She forced the Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure the time in closing the camp and take into notice the need to provide education to girls. According to her spokesperson, Taylor Royle said that Malala has stayed in touch via Skype with a number of girls in Dadaab and was looking ahead for meeting them.

Moreover, she explained that on each birthday she cherry-picks an area where education for girls is ignored and requires concentration. She said that she is here to speak for her unnoticed sisters of Somalia who are struggling for education every day.
