MBA Fee Structure in Pakistan 2026: University-Wise List

MBA fees in Pakistan vary hugely. Public-sector programmes such as GC University Hyderabad's non-business stream list yearly mandatory totals of Rs 120,000, 97,000 and 71,000 for 2026. At the top end, LUMS lists PKR 2,449,000 for year 1 of its FY2026-27 MBA before hostel charges, and IBA charges its MBA-Morning programme per credit hour (PKR 39,400), so the semester bill depends on your course load. Always compare total programme cost, not one semester's figure. 

An MBA fee is easy to look up and easy to misread. One university quotes per credit hour, another per semester, a third a "complete programme" total that quietly leaves out the thesis. This page gives you fees with the unit stated, the session year attached and a link back to the university's own notice, so you can budget from numbers you can trust.

Verified benchmarks (checked against official fee notices)

Dow University of Health Sciences is a good example of a fee notice built the other way round: tuition per semester based on six courses, a separate per-course fee, student activity and library fees, and a thesis/project defence fee plus enrolment and exam fees "as per DUHS policy."

How to read an MBA fee (and avoid the usual traps)

Three numbers get mixed up constantly:

• Per credit hour: you pay for the credits you take. IBA works this way, so the semester bill moves with your course load. Ask the programme office how many credit hours a typical semester carries.

• Per semester: a flat tuition amount. LUMS's MBA is billed this way.

• Complete programme: the total, which may or may not include admission, thesis and exam fees. Check what's inside it.

To estimate your real cost, follow four steps:

1. Take tuition (credit hours × rate, or semester fee × number of semesters).

2. Add one-time charges (admission, security, orientation).

3. Add the extras the headline fee leaves out: thesis or defence fees, exam and enrolment fees, taxes, hostel and transport.

4. Subtract any scholarship or waiver you've secured.

Taxes catch people out. LUMS collects 5% advance tax on the entire fee except the refundable portion. IBA adds 3% Sindh sales tax on services where applicable.

Ways to pay less

• Merit waivers. LUMS gives a 50% first-year tuition waiver to admitted students with a GMAT of 700 or higher (or equivalent GRE), and a 50% women's scholarship for women admitted on high merit.

• Interest-free loans. LUMS graduate financial aid takes the form of an interest-free loan, repaid from six months after graduation over 3–5 years. 

• Partial scholarship tracks. IMSciences Peshawar's 2026-27 notice lists separate columns for regular fees, partial-scholarship fees (MBA only), a 25% inflationary relief on tuition, and a 50% alumni tuition waiver. Check which track you qualify for before you read the total.

• Instalments. Policies vary by university. LUMS bills by semester; IBA's Executive MBA uses the 30/30/40 schedule above. Ask your university's finance office.

Why the fee you see here may differ from the notice you receive

Universities revise fees yearly. LUMS says fees are usually announced once a year but can change at any time, and IBA says the same. Evening, weekend and executive programmes are priced differently from the regular MBA, and non-business streams can carry different fees again.
