Position Grade: Equivalent to Deputy General Manager (DGM)
Tenure: 3 Years (Contractual – Extendable with mutual consent)

????? Position Overview: Divisional Head – Law Affairs Division
SLIC is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-driven legal professional to lead its Law Affairs Division and ensure adherence to corporate by-laws, charters, and all legal and regulatory obligations.
?? Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive legal counsel to all Divisions, Senior Management, and the Board of Directors
Manage and lead the Legal Affairs Division, ensuring timely and accurate legal support
Draft, examine, and finalize various agreements (e.g., employment contracts, vendor agreements, MoUs)
Represent SLIC in court hearings, standing committees, and government/legal forums as required
Conduct legal research and develop strategies for litigation and risk mitigation
Review corporate legal documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
Safeguard the organization’s interests against all legal risks and liabilities
Monitor and stay updated on insurance laws, compliance requirements, and statutory regulations
?? Eligibility Criteria:
?? Educational Qualifications:
LLB (required)
LLM (preferred)
Must be a registered member of the Pakistan Bar Council
?? Experience:
Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience
At least 5 years in a senior management position or as a prominent practicing lawyer
Preference will be given to candidates with institutional experience in:
Corporate Affairs
Legal & Compliance
Risk Management
Insurance Law
??? Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of corporate governance, contract law, and insurance regulations
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Proven ability to represent organizations in legal forums and regulatory bodies
?? Age Limit:
Maximum 45 years as of the advertisement date
Age relaxation may be granted based on exceptional qualifications and experience in accordance with SLIC rules
?? Employment Terms:
Contract Basis: 3 years, extendable with mutual agreement
Remuneration: As per existing pay scales of State Life
