STATE LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF PAKISTAN

CAREER OPPORTUNITY – ACCOUNTANT

Primehr, a leading human resource services provider, is recruiting on behalf of State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan. The organization is seeking dynamic, result-oriented professionals to join its Finance Division. This position offers a three (03) year contractual engagement, extendable upon satisfactory performance. The role is Karachi-based and will operate in a high-impact environment that values performance, integrity, and innovation.


Job Purpose

The Accountant will manage the Finance Division portfolio by:

  • Developing and implementing effective accounting strategies.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for digital financial services.

  • Analyzing budget versus actual financial performance.

  • Preparing accurate and timely monthly financial reports, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.

  • Leading and mentoring the finance team to ensure high performance and professional development.


Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will report directly to the Divisional Head (F&A/CFO) and will be responsible for:

  1. Implementing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS).

  2. Preparing accounts in compliance with insurance laws.

  3. Consolidating accounts for the organization.

  4. Liaising with SECP, statutory auditors, and government auditors.

  5. Managing financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

  6. Ensuring knowledge and compliance with Company Act, 2017 and Insurance Ordinance, 2000.

  7. Filing Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax returns.

  8. Handling all tax-related matters, coordinating with tax authorities, consultants, and legal advisors.


Qualification & Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA/FCA) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, preferably in the insurance sector.

  • FCMA/FCCA with at least 5 years post-qualification experience, preferably in the insurance sector.


Age Limit

  • Preferably not more than 45 years.
