CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Position: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Contract Type: 3 Years (Extendable upon performance)
Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Primehr, a leading human resource services provider, is assisting State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) in recruiting a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the IT division and aligning its strategies with the overall goals of the organization, driving innovation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact leadership role based in Karachi.


JOB PURPOSE

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the IT division to ensure competitive advantage in the Insurance industry.

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining the core ERP solutions for the organization.

  • Driving digital transformation strategies in alignment with Digital Financial Services.

  • Optimizing the organization’s IT portfolio, driving future technology adoption, and fostering innovation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. ERP Solutions & IT Resources Management:

    • Design, implement, and maintain the core ERP solution and manage IT resources to ensure the organization remains competitive in the insurance industry.

    • Oversee the development of IT strategies that meet the current and future business needs of SLIC.

  2. Leadership & Advocacy:

    • Provide transformational leadership, advocating for the implementation of technology solutions both in IT and Digital services.

    • Lead the implementation of technology solutions that align with the organization’s overall goals.

  3. Business Performance Evaluation & Process Improvement:

    • Consistently evaluate business performance and carry out BPR/BPI (Business Process Reengineering / Improvement) for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of IT solutions.

    • Identify competitive advantages and technology trends, and make actionable recommendations.

  4. Technology & Innovation:

    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT division.

    • Implement cutting-edge solutions that enhance organizational agility and technology-driven growth.


EDUCATION

  • Minimum Education16 years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Preferred: Master's degree in Information ScienceBusiness, or Information Technology from a reputable university recognized by HEC or PEC.


EXPERIENCE

  • Overall Experience: Minimum of 20 years in the field of Technology and/or Management.

  • Preferred Experience:

    • Proven experience in designing and implementing major ERP systemsCore Insurance solutions, or similar enterprise-level solutions.

    • At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., CIOCTO, etc.) involving technology strategy and digital transformation.

    • A track record of success in change management and digital transformation at senior management levels in large organizations.


AGE

  • The ideal candidate should be not more than 55 years of age at the time of application. However, age relaxation may be considered in exceptional cases.
