Primehr, a leading human resource services provider, is partnering with State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan to recruit dynamic and result-oriented professionals for a senior management role. The Assistant General Manager (Internal Audit) will maximize audit value by focusing resources on the organization’s most significant risks. The role ensures that controls are effective, provides assurance to leadership, and delivers insights to help achieve strategic objectives. Responsibilities include:
Identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and testing high-risk areas such as financial, operational, and compliance risks.
Reporting on control effectiveness and recommending improvements to management.
Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting & Auditing Standards.
Expertise in Governance, Risk & Control (GRC) frameworks.
Understanding of the economic environment, financial systems, core banking, and insurance industry.
Ability to review and verify financial records for regulatory compliance.
Knowledge of corporate laws, SECP regulations, IFRS, Company Act 2017, and Insurance Ordinance 2000.
Design and implement audit procedures and controls using audit and data analytics tools.
Knowledge of IS audits and risk-based audit processes.
Strong research, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills across all levels.
Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with tight deadlines.
Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with up to 2 years post-qualification experience,
OR
FCMA / FCCA with at least 7 years post-qualification experience.
Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office/database applications.
Preferably not more than 45 years.
