Job Opportunity

NADRA invites applications from qualified professionals for the position of Assistant Director (Security Operations Center – L2) under the relevant rules of the Government of Pakistan.

Position Details

  • Position: Assistant Director (Security Operations Center – L2)

  • Place of Posting: Islamabad

  • Maximum Age: 37 years

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in:

    • Computer Science

    • Information Technology

    • Cyber Security

    • Information Security

    • Or an equivalent degree in a related field.

  • Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum 16 years of education verified by HEC is mandatory.

  • All degrees must be attested by HEC.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) in a reputable organization.

  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Elastic Security, QRadar, Splunk, ArcSight, etc.

  • Familiarity with EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and malware analysis.

  • Certifications in CompTIA Security+, CySA+, EC-Council CIH/GCIH will be preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Perform triage, initial incident classification, and escalate to IR teams as needed.

  • Assist in containment, eradication, and recovery during security incidents.

  • Create and tune SIEM rules, correlation searches, and use cases.

  • Conduct threat hunting and proactive analysis of anomalies and patterns.

  • Collaborate with other teams (IT, Network, Applications) during incident investigations.

  • Monitor and analyze SIEM alerts and escalations.

  • Perform deeper investigation of security events using tools such as SIEM, EDR, XOR, firewalls, and threat intelligence platforms.

  • Maintain detailed documentation and incident reports.

  • Stay updated with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.

  • Willingness to work in any shift.
