Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has set the minimum marks required to be considered eligible to get admission in to MBBS and BDS programmes to increase marks to go in to any R&W etc. It has increased to 65% minimum marks to be considered eligible to apply to MBBS and BDS course.

The new criteria is due to be implemented under a formal announcement by the PMDC Registrar, Dr. Shaista, according to which it is evident that the new criteria are to be implemented on the students who want to get enrolled during the academic session 2025-2026. The policy has now been updated such that only those candidates will be able to apply to the MDCAT who will have scored at least 65 percent marks in FSc and equivalents exams.

Also, there is the MDCAT examination that should be taken by the applicants within their province or the region of domicile. Candidates is residence outside the country will only have one internationally appointed test facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It is also through the PMDC official site that the syllabus used by MDCAT has been provided so as the candidates can get prepared.
