A serious move has been made in the international academic partnership, in which ten of the top South Korean universities are going to provide scholarships to students of the University of Home Economics (UHE), Lahore.
This was announced by Mr. Rana Sikandar Hayat who is the Minister of Higher Education in Punjab. These scholarships will empower UHE learners to acquire higher education in the frontier disciplines like Aesthetics, Robotic Arms and Aviation.
This initiative will be related to the vision of the Punjab Government to forge academic partnerships on a global platform and generate more meaningful opportunities to students.
UHE Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zaib-un-nisa Hussain appreciated the Chief Minister and the Minister for Higher Education on identifying the talents of the UHE students and gave them an opportunity to be exposed internationally.
She termed the project as a great achievement that presents new frontiers of academic quality and international exposure to the university.
This is in development after a recent visit of a delegation of South Korean universities to UHE with whom the faculty and the students interacted with them, and future collaboration was discussed.
Such an alliance should help to improve research possibilities as well as introduce innovation and make world-recognizing scholars of Pakistan.
