Rawalpindi: The Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University (PMAS-AAUR) once again achieved Excellence in Quality Assurance as announced by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Higher Education Commission got the command to improve the quality of education of all Degree Awarding Institutions (DAIs) via Internal and External Quality Assurance Mechanism.

For this purpose, the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Mechanism is executed in all DAIs that is being judged on yearly basis by Quality Assurance Agency of Higher Education commission with the help of Scorecard System.

The progress of implementation of IQA Mechanism for period from July 1st, 2015 to June 30th, 2016 of PMAS-AAUR was judged on already defined parameters and got 89.89 percent score.

PMAS-AAUR, QEC ranked in highest “W” category.

It was appreciated by the Higher Education Commission that under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr Rai Niaz Ahmad, vice chancellor of PMAS-AAUR the progress of IQA Mechanism at university is hastening in a well-organized way.

It was also appreciated that hard work of Prof. Dr Riaz Ahmad, as a head of QEC, Directorate of Quality Assurance together with his team will keep their efforts continue to raise the standard of education at university.
