DND Admissions 2026: Process, Requirements, Dates and Universities in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad

DND admissions 2026: most Fall 2026 deadlines have passed. As of 2 October 2026, UVAS (Lahore) has issued its merit lists, NUMS (Islamabad) closed applications and held its test on 12 August, and Karachi's Salim Habib and Ziauddin deadlines are over. Riphah and UBAS list Fall intakes as open, but confirm before you rely on them. The usual requirement is FSc Pre-Medical (or equivalent) with at least 50%, though some universities ask for more. Use this page to plan for Spring 2027 and Fall 2027.

Admission season for nutrition and dietetics is short. Most universities open applications around the FSc results in summer, hold a test or interview in August, and release merit lists before classes begin in September. Where admissions stand (as of 2 October 2026)

Outside these cities, CUVAS Bahawalpur released its merit list on 13 July 2026, and MNS University of Agriculture, Multan has published a first merit list for session 2026–30.

How DND admission works

1. Shortlist universities whose degree is HEC-recognised and has hospital training.

2. Check the degree name and duration (5-year DND or 4-year BS HND).

3. Apply online during the window, usually through the university portal.

4. Sit the test or interview if required. This varies widely (see below).

5. Check the merit list, then pay the fee challan by the stated date. Missing it can cancel your selection.

6. Submit original documents for verification.

A typical document set: matric and FSc certificates, CNIC or B-Form, photographs, and an IBCC equivalence certificate for O/A-level candidates. Check each prospectus.

Eligibility and entry tests

There is no single national rule.

• NUMS: minimum 50% in FSc or A-level (Pre-Medical, or Humanities with Biology and Chemistry), and Pre-Agriculture or Pre-Engineering are also listed, plus DAE in Food Technology. Applicants used NUMS MDCAT 2025, NAT or USAT scores, or the NUMS online admission test.

• Riphah: FSc Pre-Medical with 50% minimum; merit is weighted 60% qualification and 40% interview.

• University of Home Economics Lahore: FSc Pre-Medical, A-level Biology and Chemistry, or FA Home Economics with at least 60% and age not above 24, per its programme page.

• MNS-UAM Multan: 50% marks.

DND admission in Lahore

UVAS admits to morning and evening sections on its Lahore campus. Selected candidates were asked to generate a challan of Rs 86,160 (morning) or Rs 136,160 (evening) from the online portal. Merit lists: morning, evening. UBAS and University of Home Economics (programme page) also offer the programme. Riphah lists a Lahore campus.

DND admission in Karachi

Karachi's published Fall 2026 windows have closed: Salim Habib University (30 June) and Ziauddin University (19 September). Jinnah University for Women's notice dated back to April. We couldn't verify other 2026 Karachi notices, so check university sites directly for Spring 2027.

DND admission in Islamabad

NUMS (KHINAMS) ran its Fall 2026 cycle between 30 June and 24 August. Riphah offers the programme at its Gulberg Green Campus, with Fall and Spring intakes.

What to do now

• Ask about late admissions. Contact Riphah and UBAS directly about remaining seats.

• Plan for Spring 2027. Riphah lists a March intake, and Chenab University runs Spring and Fall sessions.
