DND Merit List 2026: University-Wise Lists, Formula and Next Steps

There is no single national DND merit list. Each university publishes its own, usually in rounds (1st, 2nd, 3rd and later). UVAS Lahore's 2026 lists are out, and selected candidates had to submit dues by 24 August 2026 or risk losing the offer. Find your university in the table below, open its official list, and search for your name or form number. If you're not on the list, wait for the next round.

What "DND" means here

In Pakistan, Doctor of Nutrition and Dietetics (DND) is a five-year degree you enter after FSc Pre-Medical. It trains clinical dietitians. Some universities now run the four-year BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics (BS HND) instead. If you see "BS HND" on a merit list, it's usually the same field under the HEC's newer naming.

Don't confuse it with the American DND. That one is a postgraduate degree for people who are already registered dietitians, so FSc students can't apply to it.

How DND merit is calculated

Formulas differ by university, so read your prospectus. The public-sector agriculture and veterinary universities have recently used a simple split. UVAS counts matric at 30% and intermediate at 70%. MNS-UAM's earlier lists used the same 30/70 split, with intermediate Part-I used before final results. UVAS also awards 20 marks to Hafiz-e-Quran candidates who clear a test. Private and medical-linked universities may add an entry test or interview.

Take a worked example. Matric is 1000/1100 (90.91%) and FSc is 900/1100 (81.82%). Under a 30/70 formula:

(90.91 × 0.30) + (81.82 × 0.70) = 27.27 + 57.27 = 84.55%

How to check your name

1. Open your university's official merit page (links above).

2. Select your program, campus and shift (morning or evening).

3. Open the PDF for the list you're checking.

4. Use Ctrl+F (or the find option on your phone) and search your name or application number.

Why there are several lists

Not everyone on the first list pays the fee, so seats reopen and the next group in line moves up. UVAS's 2026 schedule ran as far as a fifth merit list. If you missed round one, you may still be in. 

If you're on the list

Pay by the stated deadline. Upload the paid challan where the portal asks. Keep the original documents ready for verification. A missed deadline can cancel your offer, and the seat goes to the next candidate.

If you're not on the list

• Keep checking the next list. Don't assume you're out.

• Apply to a self-finance or evening program, where merit usually runs lower.

• Look at BS HND programs at other universities. The field is the same.

• Read last year's final list on the university's site. The last name in each category's PDF shows the cut-off for that category. That's a more reliable guide than any "expected merit" figure from a third party.
