BS Geography is an interdisciplinary degree in Pakistan for students interested in physical geography, human geography, GIS, and environmental planning. A university-wise comparison helps students understand differences in curriculum structure, fieldwork opportunities, and laboratory facilities across institutions. The table highlights faculty expertise, GIS and remote sensing labs, cartography studios, and access to field surveys and research projects. By reviewing admission criteria, merit requirements, program recognition, and fee structures, students can make informed academic decisions. It also shows which universities offer stronger linkages with environmental agencies, urban planning departments, and research organizations for internships and practical exposure. This comparison ensures students select programs aligned with modern geographical research and planning standards. Overall, it guides students in choosing the best university for pursuing BS Geography in Pakistan.

Pakistan has some academic qualifications that candidates must meet to apply to BS Geography admission. The lowest qualification requirement is Intermediate (FA, FSc, ICS, I.Com, or A-Levels) with 45 percent to 50 percent marks of a recognized board. Both science and arts students are allowed to apply. But students with a science background tend to outshine in technical courses such as GIS and environmental courses.
BS Geography is a relatively easy to get in college. Students must complete an online or paper based application form that is offered by a specific university. Universities can also impose entry tests after the application has been received and can be used to test how well a student understands English, general science, and analytical thinking. In certain instances, based on past school performance, admissions are made on mere basis. Once the evaluation is done, the universities publish merit lists wherein the final selection of the candidates is finalized.
Entry tests are commonly used by the public universities to offer BS Geography to ensure there is healthy competition among students. The merit is computed by a formula in general, it contains:
Public universities have a closing merit of between 70-80 percent, and in most cases, private universities have more relaxed merit qualifications, which can be attained by average students.
All the documents that have to be presented should be prepared beforehand, and no issues should be handled at the last moment. The material needed usually consists of the following documents:
