University of Engineering & Technology Lahore Announces Computerized Engineering College Admission Test in Punjab For Session 2020

All those students who were waiting for their entry test or Engineering College Admission Test are informed that this year the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore will conduct a computerized entry test for the engineering students. Every year thousands of students apply and participate in ECAT to take admission in engineering colleges/ institutes. According to the (MOU) memorandum of understanding signed between the University of Engineering & Technology with the Virtual University of Pakistan, this is the first time that entry test will be paperless. Moreover, the ECAT was expected to be held in July but this year it is expected that the test will get delayed.

Reason Behind Conducting Computerized ECAT Entry Test

The primary reason for conducting a paperless entrance test is stop the spread of pandemic Corona Virus in all our the Pakistan and the government of Punjab has initiated to take this important decision to save people from getting effected with Coronavirus. However, with the help of the UET memorandum of understanding has come to the agreement that the university will provide questions for the Engineering College Admission Test meanwhile the Virtual University has the keen responsibility to arrange the computer labs in the Punjab province so that the student can participate in the entry test.

UET Computerized Entry Test 2020

As all students are well aware that the government of Punjab has given the responsibility of conducting ECAT to the UET, Lahore and the university will continue to provide the same services this year as well even under the given circumstance of the country. The students are informed that the NUST and Punjab College University of Information Technology will also conduct their computerized entry test for the admission session 2020.

Preparation of UET ECAT Test

However, it is expected that the UET entry test will be held on multiple dates to facilitate the large number of students who are going to participate in the test. The students are advised to prepare their entrance tests from ECAT past papers so they can get good marks in their entry test easily. Moreover, the UET ECAT Test syllabus is also available for students to get complete information regarding their upcoming tests.
