The Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT) established in 1988 as Center for Computer Science. In 1990, the center upgraded to the Department of Computer Science and 2 year full fledged MSc. Program was offered. In 2000, it was again upgraded as a college and named as Punjab University College of Information Technology due to the efforts of then VC Lt. General Arshad Mahmood (R). Now more than 1700 students enroll every year in the college in bachelor and master programs.
At PUCIT, students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, experienced faculty, and a dynamic learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Through hands-on projects, internships, and industry collaborations, students gain practical experience and develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to thrive in the digital age.
