Eligibility Criteria:

The course does not have a fixed outline instead it consists of papers and there are two modes to enter the CA program one is the full time for intermediate or equivalent qualification holder while the other is termed as the trainee course offered to degree holders.   1. Students seeking admission in CA course should have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate with minimum 50% aggregate marks, or two subjects at A Levels; or any other equivalent qualification
  2. Generally, A-Levels having ‘E’ is the minimum grades get registered at CA conducting institutes
  3. Graduates from a local or foreign recognized university with
    1. Minimum 16 years of education with 45% aggregate marks or equivalent grades
    2. Minimum 14 years of education with 45% aggregate marks or equivalent grades can also apply for CA courses.
  4. DAE, D. Com & D.B.A are equal to intermediate level, hence there is no need to get equivalency certificate from IBCC. Yet for Foreign High School equivalency certificate is required
  5. Candidates have to pass or obtain an exemption from Assessment of Fundamental Competencies (AFC). A candidate could be provisionally registered for AFC exams even if the result of prerequisite qualification is awaited.
  6. Students seeking admission in CA course have to join some institute for getting registered and tuition thus the following fees would be applicable to them.

Fee Structure:

The student seeking admission in a CA institute has to submit the following fees.

  1. Registration/Admission Fee
  2. Tuition Fee
  3. Examination Fee

Several accountancy institutes are conducting this course with their own tuition charges. However, each paper has its own fixed fee. The tuition, admission and other charges depends on the institute where you are seeking admission. The average total charges in the completion, of course require PRs.4 lac on condition that the student passes each and every paper in first attempt. Fee for a single exam ranges between 15 thousand to 25 thousand this year.


Chartered Accountants who have passed the course competently have a bright and flying future as they are hired on highest pay scales both in Pakistan and abroad however every country has its own recognition criteria for these types of Accountancy Certificate Courses.
