BSIT Eligibility Criteria in Pakistan
To apply for BSIT (BS Information Technology) in Pakistan, you generally need an Intermediate (HSSC) or equivalent result of at least 50% with mathematics. Pre-engineering and ICS students normally qualify directly. Pre-medical students can usually apply, but most universities require them to pass mathematics deficiency courses (commonly 6 credit hours) in their first year or two. Some universities add a minimum Matric percentage, an entry test or an interview. Because each university sets its own final rules, check the one you are applying to before you pay any fee.

The mathematics rule and deficiency courses
Mathematics is the most important condition. HEC's computing curriculum, as quoted by university pages, says mathematics is required for admission to BS computing programs. In practice there are two ways to meet it:

You studied mathematics at Intermediate. Some universities specify the amount; Air University and Government College Women University both mention Mathematics with 200 marks.

You did not. Pre-medical students can usually join but must pass deficiency courses. UMT asks for two mathematics courses (6 credit hours) in the first two semesters, Government College Women University requires them within one year, and Riphah describes 6 credit hours in the first year. At GC Women University's BSIT scheme, Mathematics I and II are compulsory to pass but do not count toward credit hours.
Ask the admission office whether deficiency courses delay your degree or add to the fee.
Minimum marks and other conditions

Intermediate: 50% is the usual minimum (Riphah, Air University, Minhaj, UMT and Government College Women University all state it).

Matric: UMT states 50% aggregate in both Matric and Intermediate. Do not assume this applies elsewhere.

DAE holders: Punjab University lists a relevant DAE with at least 60%; check whether your discipline counts as relevant.

A-Levels and foreign qualifications: You normally need an IBCC equivalence certificate showing the relevant subjects, especially mathematics. Request it early.

After BSc or ADP: Shorter routes exist. Institute of Southern Punjab (Multan) offers a 2.5-year BS IT (80 credit hours) for students with 14 years of education and mathematics, and NCBA&E lists a 2-year BS (Hons) IT after an ADP. Availability changes, so confirm with the university.
