?? Position Details

  • Job Title: Unit Head - Collections & Recovery (Consumer Products)

  • Rank: Assistant Vice President (AVP)

  • Location: Karachi

  • Reporting To: Wing Head - Collections & Recovery

  • Employment Type: Contractual (Three years – extendable at management’s discretion)


?? Eligibility Criteria

Educational/Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a HEC-recognized local or international institution.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with:

    • Master’s degree

    • Relevant professional certifications

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in:

    • Credit Collections

    • Retail / Consumer Financing

    • SME or Agri Financing

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

    • Large-scale or public sector financial institutions


?? Leadership & Management Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated team leadership and people management abilities

  • Strategic thinking and capacity for guiding change

  • Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making


?? Technical Skills & Expertise

  • In-depth understanding of:

    • Collections systems

    • Recovery strategies

    • Capacity planning

    • Incentive plans

    • Forecasting and portfolio analysis

  • Solid command of SBP Prudential Regulations for Consumer & SME Lending

  • Proficiency in MS Office, data handling, and analysis tools

  • Ability to develop and implement short- and long-term strategies for collections & recovery

  • Familiarity with internal policies and regulatory frameworks


?? Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement collection & recovery strategies aligned with business goals

  • Ensure compliance with SBP regulationsinternal policies, and legal frameworks

  • Drive recovery of retail loan portfolios within defined timelines

  • Analyze delinquency movements and vintage performance to monitor collection efficiency

  • Prepare MIS reports and analytics for senior management review

  • Set realistic and measurable targets for recovery teams

  • Liaise with external recovery agencies to achieve goals

  • Manage internal and external audits, and ensure timely resolution of any findings

  • Supervise and train collection staff to enhance productivity and compliance

  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervisor(s)
