SITUATION VACANT

The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) is seeking dynamic and qualified Agriculture Scientists/Research Managers with proven leadership in strategic planning, implementation, and management of agricultural research. The candidates should have expertise in formulating research policies and coordinating programs. Below are the details for the vacant positions of Whole Time Members (MP-II) in various disciplines:

Vacant Positions:

1 Member (Crop Sciences) 01 1. Ph.D. in the relevant field of Crop Sciences/Natural Resources/Animal Sciences/Social Sciences from an HEC recognized university of international repute.
2 Member (Natural Resources) 01 2. At least 22 years of proven experience in R&D organizations/recognized research institutions/higher learning institutions (public/private sector). Experience in managing multi-disciplinary groups of scientists and researchers is essential.
3 Member (Animal Sciences) 01 3. 15 years of post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience in HEC recognized institutions.
4 Member (Social Sciences) 01 4. Minimum of 15 research publications in HEC recognized refereed journals/books.

Other Conditions & Requirements:

  1. Tenure Appointment: The appointment will be on a tenure basis for a period of three years as per the PARC Ordinance 1981 & Rules, 1984.
  2. Leadership in Agricultural Research: Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, implementation, and management of multi-disciplinary agricultural research programs is required.
  3. Resource Mobilization: Candidates should have the ability to effectively mobilize and utilize financial and human resources.
  4. Communication Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must.
  5. Academic Qualification: Candidates must have:
    • First division OR a CGPA of 3.00 or more in the highest degree.
    • No more than one second division OR grade C in the academic career.
  6. Job Description: The detailed job description is available on the PARC website www.parc.gov.pk.
  7. Age Limit: The age limit is 62 years as per the Management Position Scales Policy-2020, as amended from time to time.
  8. Government Service Candidates: Civil servants selected for the position must either resign from government service or seek early retirement and sever their connection with their parent cadre/ministry/organization.
  9. Nationality: Only Pakistani nationals are eligible to apply.
