CAREER OPPORTUNITY – INSURANCE SECTOR

National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), a premier public sector organization and a leading name in Pakistan’s General Insurance industry, invites applications from accomplished, result-oriented, and dynamic professionals for the following Karachi-based contractual position:

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

The candidate must possess one of the following qualifications from an HEC-recognized local or reputable foreign institution:

• ACA / ACMA / ACCA

• CA (Finalist) / CA (Inter)

• MBA (Finance)

Experience

• Minimum 05 years of relevant post-qualification experience in taxation matters

• Experience must include corporate and indirect taxation

• Prior exposure in a financial institution, tax consultancy firm, or audit firm’s tax department

• Proven hands-on experience in Input/Output Tax adjustments

• Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for complete ownership of taxation matters, including but not limited to:

• Management of direct and indirect taxes, including federal and provincial/regional taxes and levies

• Tax planning, assessment, audits, implementation, compliance monitoring, reporting, advisory, appeals, restructuring, and desk reviews

• Oversight of tax payment functions, including processing of tax payments, adjustments, and withholding taxes

• Ensuring accuracy and compliance in input/output tax management and adjustments

• Review and finalization of annual income tax returns of NICL and its subsidiary in coordination with tax consultants

• Computation of tax liabilities and assets, discharge of advance tax liabilities, and ensuring statutory compliance

• Management of periodic statutory filings, including withholding tax statements and reconciliations

• Reconciliation of tax-related expenses with accounting records

• Any other duties as assigned by the CFO / GM

Mode of Employment

• This is a purely contractual position with an open-ended contract

• Services will be governed strictly under the terms and conditions of the contract

Compensation Package

A competitive, market-based compensation package will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and verifiable experience, to be finalized during the interview.
