CAREER OPPORTUNITY

POSITION: CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER (CMO)

NICL – Central Zone, Lahore

National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), a large public sector general insurance company, invites applications from qualified and experienced medical professionals for appointment as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at its Central Zonal Office, Lahore, on a retainership basis.

Position Details

• Post Title: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

• Number of Positions: 01

• Station of Posting: NICL Central Zone, Lahore

• Gender: Male / Female

• Age Limit: 35 to 45 years

• Contract Duration: 03 years (Retainership Basis)

Minimum Qualification & Experience

Qualification

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution

• FCPS qualification will be preferred

• Degree must be from a PMDC-recognized institution

Experience

• Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience, including house job in general medicine

• At least 03 years of experience in tertiary healthcare will be considered an advantage

• Must possess a valid PMDC license

Terms & Conditions of Appointment

1. Appointment will be made strictly on a retainership basis.

2. Residence in Lahore is mandatory to ensure availability of 24/7 medical services.

3. Services may be terminated by either party with one (01) month’s notice or payment in lieu thereof.

4. The CMO shall not be a permanent, contractual, or contingent employee of NICL.

5. Remuneration shall not form part of NICL payroll and will be treated as medical/administrative expenses, subject to withholding tax.

6. The scope of work covers NICL Central Zone, including zonal and branch offices.

Duty Timings & Responsibilities

Office Presence

• 03 to 05 hours daily between 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM on all working days at NICL Lahore office

Key Responsibilities

• Attend to medical emergencies as and when required

• Examine NICL employees and refer them to specialists or hospitals where necessary

• Visit hospitals where NICL employees or dependents are admitted to ensure proper treatment

• Scrutinize and endorse medical bills received from hospitals, chemists, laboratories, and employees

• Conduct medical examinations of newly recruited NICL employees

• Examine and manage cases of chronic diseases

• Administer employee medical facilities and strictly control medical expenses

• Provide healthcare recommendations to improve employee wellbeing and reduce unnecessary medical costs

• Advise management on health safety, preventive care, and protection against infectious or contagious diseases

• Perform any other medical-related duties assigned by management

Availability

• The Chief Medical Officer shall also remain available online and/or telephonically beyond office hours to handle emergency situations.
