Reporting To: Chief Credit Officer - Retail & Program Lending
Location: Karachi
Education:
Minimum Graduation or equivalent from an HEC-recognized local or international institution.
Preferred: Master’s degree and/or relevant professional certifications.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of banking experience in a commercial bank.
Must include at least 05 years in credit processing (Retail, SME, and/or Agri financing).
Skills & Expertise:
Good problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Sound business acumen and understanding of credit products/services.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Sound understanding of credit evaluation, risk assessment processes, risk policies, regulations, and emerging trends.
Ensure lending aligns with the bank's approved policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor overall underwriting to identify gaps/deviations and implement corrective measures.
Maintain strict control over underwriter performance, decision-making, and post-approval smoothness.
Prepare performance reports for approving/recommending groups.
Manage and monitor the credit portfolio for quality and compliance with internal policies.
Strengthen credit delivery by ensuring smooth functioning across the procedural chain.
Foster a service delivery culture through efficient turnaround times (TAT).
Ensure risk culture integrity and balanced decision-making.
Support quality checks for regulatory compliance and credit policy adherence.
Arrange comprehensive training programs for credit approval staff.
Department: Inclusive Development
Reporting To: Divisional Head - SME
Location: Karachi
Education:
Minimum Graduation or equivalent from an HEC-recognized local or international institution.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Business and/or professional certifications like AIBP / JAIBP.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of banking experience.
Must include at least 06 years in a similar role in SME lending within a commercial bank.
Skills & Expertise:
Strong understanding of SME/Commercial Financing, Trade Finance, Banking Regulations, and Market Dynamics.
Proven ability to lead a team, manage multiple tasks, organize priorities, and meet targets.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Lead SME Wing operations and manage the financing portfolio (general, seasonal, and specialized schemes) through effective supervision of Unit Heads.
Guide formulation, execution, and monitoring of SME business plans to achieve approved targets, sectoral focus, and portfolio mix.
Ensure timely processing and approval of SME credit proposals at Head Office in coordination with Unit Heads and CRMG; manage pipeline and TAT.
Oversee working capital, trade-related, and general-purpose financing to ensure balanced growth and strong asset quality.
Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and competitor practices to ensure risk-aligned, sustainable growth.
Support policy reviews, procedural dissemination, field staff capacity building, and overall team performance appraisals.
