INTRODUCTION

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for appointment to the following post of Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU) under the project titled "National Program for Enhancing the Command Area in Barani Areas of Pakistan," purely on contract basis in the Ministry of National Food Security and Research (M/o NFS&R), initially for a period of one year or till the completion of the Project whichever is earlier, and extendable on yearly basis on the basis of performance evaluation. The position will be filled strictly on merit basis in a transparent manner and in accordance with the guidelines provided in:

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

Required Qualification:

• M.Sc. Agricultural Engineering / Water Resources, MA Economics, MBA Finance

Required Experience:

• 12 years' experience of working in the Public/Private sector dealing with water and agriculture sector, including 5 years' experience of management of large-scale public-sector development Projects relating to water and agriculture.

Essential Skills & Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of rules & regulations of preparation, financing, procurement and implementation of public sector development project.

2. Preparation of public sector project proposals (PC-I, PC-II) relating to water and agriculture.

3. Excellent communication skills and good presentation.

4. Knowledge of basic IT tools to communicate with stakeholders.

5. Having leadership qualities to manage public sector development projects and ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

6. Having analytical approach to design specialized project management to ensure the desired feedback at various stages of project implementation.

7. Capable of providing a wide range of services relating to monitoring and evaluation of the project to ensure efficient and effective use of available resources.

Preference:

• Preference will be given to candidates having experience of implementing public sector development projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Deputy Project Coordinator (DPC) shall perform the following duties:

1. Act as the Deputy Project Coordinator (DPC) for the federal government Project "NPECA".

2. Work under overall supervision of M/o National Food Security & Research.

3. Assist Ministry in disposal of administrative and financial matters related to FPMU in implementation of FSC decisions.

4. Assist Ministry in timely transfer of matching federal grants to the participating agencies.

5. Work closely with Provincial PMUs for effective implementation of the project.

6. Assist Ministry in compilation of periodic Project monitoring reports, progress reports, and working papers for FSC and FCC.

7. Any other duties assigned by the Ministry.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

3. Candidates will have to produce original documents / educational degrees, diplomas / experience certificates, CNIC and CVs at the time of test/interview.

4. Candidates already in government service should apply through Proper Channel.

5. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview and no TA/DA would be admissible for appearing in the test/interview.

6. The Competent Authority reserves the right not to fill the post or withhold the appointment of the above post.
