Organization Overview (Description)

The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives (M/o PD&SI) serves as the apex policy and planning body of the Government of Pakistan. It functions as a think tank, providing technical and professional guidance for the formulation and implementation of the country’s socio-economic development plans and policies.

Under the project “Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening of M/o PD&SI,” the Ministry seeks to engage sector experts, specialists, and consultants with relevant experience and expertise in fields that are critical to the Planning Commission’s work. These positions will play a key role in providing policy insights, strategic advice, and technical support for strengthening institutional performance.

Available Positions (Details)

1. Sector Specialist – Cultural and Creative Economy

Qualification / Education:

  • Minimum 16 years of education (Master’s degree or higher) in one of the following disciplines:
    Cultural Policy, Creative Economy, Development Studies, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • Additional certifications or courses in creative industry development, cultural management, or innovation policy will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 12 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

Remuneration:

  • Pay Scale: PPS-10

2. Sector Specialist – Health Management / Policy

Qualification / Education:

  • Minimum 16 years of education (Master’s or equivalent degree or higher) in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Experience:

  • At least 12 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

Remuneration:

  • Pay Scale: PPS-10
