PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

JOB OPPORTUNITY

1. Introduction

The Planning & Development Department (P&DD), Government of Sindh, is responsible for policy formulation, planning, and development across the province. The department also handles foreign aid coordination through donors and ministries, processes development schemes, programs, and proposals, and makes recommendations to the government.

Additionally, P&DD oversees monitoring and evaluation of development projects and maintains close liaison with national planning agencies, ministries, departments, and donors.

2. Applications Invited

The Planning & Development Department invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals having domicile of Sindh Province for the following contract-based positions.
The contract will be initially for two (02) years, extendable based on performance and departmental needs, for the establishment of a Centralized Data Repository.

Available Positions

01. Director IT (MP Scale–I)

Number of Posts: 01

Required Qualification & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or any related field (Computer Systems, Information Systems, Data Science, etc.)
    ? Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Public or Private Sector.
    OR

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or any related field (Computer Systems, Information Systems, Data Science, etc.)
    ? Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Public or Private Sector.

02. Senior Developer (.NET) (MP Scale–III)

Number of Posts: 01

Required Qualification & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
    ? Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
    OR

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
    ? Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

03. Database Administrator (Microsoft SQL Server) (MP Scale–III)

Number of Posts: 01

Required Qualification & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
    ? Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
    OR

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
    ? Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

3. General Requirements

  • Candidates must possess domicile/PRC of Sindh Province.

  • Maximum Age: 60 years (as of closing date).

  • Remuneration/Pay Package: As per Sindh Management Position Scales Policy, 2022 (Notification No. SOII (SGA&CD)6-32/2021, dated 29.12.2022).

  • Contract Period: Two (02) years, extendable subject to satisfactory performance evaluation by the committee.
