FDE to announce result of 5th class today

Islamabad, The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) is going to declare the result of 5th class Centralized Annual Examinations 2013 for Model Colleges on April 02.

In this regard a ceremony for declaration of result will be organized at the Islamabad College for Girls (ICG), Sector F-6/2, FDE Director for Model Colleges Tariq Masood said. Ministry of Capital Administration and Development (CAD) Secretary Riffat Shaheen Qazi will also be present on the occasion.

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), Islamabad started work in April 2011 and at first it was convened with the Ministry of Education to deliver educational assistance at numerous stages in ICT. Afterwards it started work with department of Capital Administration & Development Division (CA&DD) which further changed to Ministry of Capital Administration & Development from May 2012.

The steps taken by FDE to expand quality of education are: In-service teachers training program, Introduction of IT education in several fields, English teachers for primary classes and free text books.

FDE has been functioning with numerous well-known National and International organizations which are working to promote education quality of education under its authority. These are UNESCO, USAID, Intel Corp, Microsoft, ESRA, ED-Link, CGN, AEPAM etc.

FDE has also been functioning with several innovate projects which are Multipurpose Resource Centers (MRCs), Equipments in MRCs etc.

Equipments in MRCs includes networked computers, scanner, printer, DVD player, television, photocopier, digital camera, internet & emailing, backup power supply, learning possessions  (Books, journals, teaching guides, kits, CDs, DVDs, multimedia encyclopedias, teaching-learning software and means in Urdu & English.

These projects provide facilities in teacher training and networking, lesson planning and low-cost resources development, training and experience sharing, skills training for public (dress-making, henna painting, fabric-dyeing and painting, candle-making, etc).

It also deliver computer skills training to community members and students, arts and Crafts workshops for students and communal members, civic education, multimedia educational software assets and literacy classes for PTA & community members.
