Important Security Notice for Schools Across the Entire Province

Following the recent fatal attack on a school bus in Balochistan, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) administration has raised security throughout every educational facility in the province.

Particularly focusing on schools in Peshawar and other more dangerous locations, a security advisory covering the province has been released.

Working with district administrations and local police, the Education Department has started an emergency security plan meant to safeguard staff, teachers, and students. Qaiser Alam, Special Secretary for Education, said that all District Education Officers (DEOs) and school administrators have been ordered to carry out thorough security evaluations of their facilities.

Qaiser Alam remarked, "We are dedicated to using every resource at hand to guarantee the safety of our teachers and pupils." Police and regional officials are working together to create a joint security framework.

Schools have to put strong monitoring systems covering every entry and exit point under the revised security rules. Deployment of skilled security staff who have been trained is now obligatory; CCTV surveillance systems are absolutely needed for ongoing observation.

Schools have also been directed to hold awareness sessions on safety procedures for pupils. Every institution has to also set up a clear evacuation plan and an emergency alert system in case of any threat.

This assault on school security comes after a terrible suicide bombing close to Khuzdar's Zero Point on the Karachi-Quetta National Highway, where at least five people—three children—lost their lives. Explosives set in a roadside vehicle were remotely detonated as a school bus passed by; several others sustained injuries.

Officials have verified that the device was activated when the school bus approached the car; a complete inquiry is ongoing to find those at fault.
