The timings for schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been revised to avoid heatwaves, according to the Education Department. The decision which focuses on keeping students healthy and well, was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday.
Immediately, schools will follow the new schedule from the ministry. Schools will start at 7:15 am starting today. Students in primary school will finish by 11:40 am, while learning in middle and high schools goes on until 12:15 pm.
With warmer weather causing concerns, the change is intended to help keep students safe and comfortable in school. The Education Department explained that the move is meant to protect students’ welfare and health as temperatures are high.
School authorities are being advised to ensure everyone sticks to the new timings and does their part to keep students—and everyone else—safe. Until the start of the summer vacation, these revised hours will continue to be in place.
