Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will now give cash prizes to the aspirants of higher education for completing internationally compatible quality research and producing commercially workable projects.

This statement was given by the vice chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University Dr Shahid Siddiqui while addressing the opening session of 5th National Conference on Physics and Emerging Sciences at the main campus of varsity in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The best research award would be given to the PhD scholars from across the country.
Likewise, the best research projects’ award would also be available for the aspirants of BS and MS programs.

According to the Vice chancellor of university, these awards were being introduced from this year, and a huge budgetary allocation has been made for this reason.
He further announced the constitution of a special fund for research and development activities for constructing and distributing knowledge via research journals and conferences as well.
