PMDC Announces MDCAT 2025 Date and New Curriculum
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has rightly announced that the Colleges Admission Test for (MDCAT) 2025 will be conducted nationwide on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
Along with the date announcement, PMDC has also introduced a revised syllabus for MDCAT 2025. As shared by PMDC President Dr. Rizwan Taj, the entrance test will now valuate students in five key areas: English, Chemistry, Physics, and Logical Reasoning, Biology
The examination will comprise 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in three hours. There will be no penalty for incorrect answers, and the question paper will be structured with 15% easy, 70% moderate, and 15% challenging questions to assess students fairly across varying difficulty levels.

PMDC has already begun the development of a comprehensive question bank based on the new syllabus. The curriculum was prepared in consultation with academic experts, education boards, and leading universities to ensure transparency and merit-based evaluation.
Students are advised to start their preparation early and align their studies with the newly introduced guidelines.
