DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) admissions in Pakistan are decided by merit. For most applicants that means two universities: the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF). Both have released lists this season, but they don't calculate merit the same way, so figures don't carry over from one to the other.

Merit List

How to check your DVM merit list

UVAS (Lahore, Ravi, Jhang, Narowal)

1. Open the UVAS undergraduate merit list page.

2. Find your programme and shift: DVM Morning, Evening, or the Jhang or Narowal campus.

3. Open the list PDF and search for your name or form number.

4. If you're listed, submit your dues by the deadline shown beside that list. Missing it can cost you the seat.

Admission rules and the full schedule are on the UVAS admissions page.

UAF (Faisalabad)

1. Open the UAF merit list downloads.

2. Find the entry for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine under the list number you need.

3. Open the PDF and look for your name.

4. Pay your fee by the date printed beside the list. For the 1st open DVM list that date was 9 September 2026.

DVM closing merit 2026

Closing merit is the lowest aggregate that made a given list. It drops with each list, so don't read the first-list number as your floor.

The Lahore morning shift barely moved between the 1st and 3rd lists. The evening shift fell nearly seven points over six lists. If you narrowly missed the morning cutoff, the evening shift or the Jhang and Narowal campuses are the realistic fallback.

How DVM merit is calculated

The universities weight your marks differently.

UAF: UAF's 2025-26 DVM notification gives 30% Matric, 30% first-year Intermediate and 40% entrance test, with at least 60% required. Check the 2026 prospectus in case anything changed.

UVAS: one 2026 admission guide gives 30% Matric and 70% Intermediate. Confirm this in the UVAS prospectus before relying on it.

What if your name isn't on the list?

• Wait for the next list. Closing merit falls as seats go unclaimed.

• Look at other shifts and campuses. UVAS evening, Jhang and Narowal DVM lists close lower.

• Check the missing-opportunity facility. UVAS runs one for programmes where applicants are exhausted but seats remain.

• Try other universities. Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences, and UVAS Swat publish their own lists.
