A public DVM costs roughly Rs 55,000–60,000 per semester in tuition and exam fees at UVAS Lahore (2026 schedule), plus one-time charges of about Rs 20,000. UVAS Swat lists DVM at Rs 40,000 (open merit) and Rs 90,000 (self-finance). A private DVM at Riphah Lahore costs about Rs 175,000 in the first semester (Rs 150,000 tuition + Rs 25,000 admission). UVAS Lahore DVM Fee Structure
UVAS is a public university, so its fee is the benchmark most students compare against. The 2026 schedule for undergraduate programs lists these heads:

One-time charges at admission: admission fee Rs 10,000, university registration Rs 10,000, plus small refundable deposits for university and library security and an ID card.

Per-semester charges: tuition (about Rs 46,360 first semester, easing to about Rs 42,060 from the third) and examination fee of Rs 13,000.

PVMC registration: DVM students pay Rs 1,200 for council registration and an ID card.

Hostel (optional): room rent about Rs 11,980, amenities about Rs 10,650 and utilities about Rs 17,300 per semester.

Private DVM Fees: Riphah Lahore
Riphah's DVM at the Raiwind Campus admits 50 students each Fall. For Pakistani nationals the first-semester bill is Rs 25,000 admission + Rs 150,000 tuition = Rs 175,000. Tuition, exam, enrollment and lab fees are charged every semester, and international students pay USD 7,000 in the first semester. Details are on the Riphah DVM program page. Public vs Private: Which Makes Sense?
Public DVM seats cost a fraction of private ones but are decided on merit, and the cutoffs are high. Private seats are easier to get but cost about three times as much in tuition alone. Compare cost against your merit position, and make sure the university is on PVMC's recognized list.
