There is no autonomous or regulatory body for DPT program. Those universities which are recognized by the HEC and approved for DPT program, they can induct students as per their laid down criteria. However, there are some allied health institutions and medical colleges which do not have status of self-degree awarding institutions and they are affiliated from that respective university. They have to follow admission and exam policy of that respective university from where they are affiliated.
Various institutions prepare merit on the basis of FSc. pre medical marks.
Some institutions induct students on the basis of FSc. Pre medical marks and Entry Test.
Some Institutions offer admissions on the basis Percentage of Matric, FSc Medical & Entry Test marks.
In some institutions, interview is also compulsory from one of the above merit requirement.
Minimum eligibility criteria for applying in DPT is F.Sc pre medical with 60% marks in various institution however there are some institutions where criteria is 50% , 55% , 65% or 70%. With this, there are some institutions or universities where Entry Test is also compulsory. This Entry Test is Internal Test and is conducted by the Institution or University and test is from FSc syllabus.
