The UHS MBBS admission portal for Punjab's public-sector medical colleges is public-mbbs.uhs.edu.pk. BDS applicants use public-bds.uhs.edu.pk. UHS had not announced 2026-27 application dates when we checked on 1 October 2026, so apply only when an official notice appears. Keep your CNIC or B-Form, Punjab domicile, SSC and HSSC result cards, and MDCAT 2026 score ready. The MBBS cut-off in the MDCAT 2026 result was 55%.
This page keeps the official links in one place and walks you through the application the way UHS ran it last year. It also marks clearly what UHS hasn't announced yet.

Links on older pages, such as the Bank of Punjab-hosted addresses used in 2021 and 2022, belong to earlier sessions. Don't use them. Don't pay anyone to "register" you either. UHS applications go through its own portal and a bank challan.
Not yet, as far as UHS's own pages show. When we checked the 2026-27 section of UHS's admission news page on 1 October 2026, it listed only MDCAT admit-card notices. There was no prospectus, no application window and no merit schedule.
49,202 candidates registered for MDCAT 2026 and 47,475 appeared.
Of those, 37,708 (79.43%) cleared the 55% MBBS mark.
the 2026-27 application dates;
the 2026-27 prospectus and admission policy;
the application fee;
whether MDCAT scores from earlier years stay valid. Last year UHS accepted MDCAT 2023, 2024 and 2025 scores.
Last year the order was admission policy, then prospectus, then portal. The policy was notified on 22 October 2025 and applications opened on 7 November. That pattern is a reasonable guess for planning, but UHS hasn't confirmed it. We'll update this page when the notice goes up.
These were last cycle's rules. Check them against the 2026-27 notice.
HSSC: Pre-Medical (or an IBCC-recognized equivalent) with at least 60%. You must have studied Biology and Chemistry, plus Physics or Mathematics.
MDCAT: at least 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS.
Domicile: a Punjab domicile from any district is mandatory for open merit and most reserved seats.
Age: there is no minimum or maximum age limit.
Overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals: may submit SAT-II (550 or more in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Maths), MCAT or UCAT instead of MDCAT, as per the prospectus.
Merit is a weighted aggregate of three results:
|
Exam |
Weight |
|---|---|
|
Matric / SSC |
10% |
|
HSSC Pre-Medical |
40% |
|
MDCAT |
50% |
A simplified illustration: with 90% in matric, 90% in HSSC and 85% in MDCAT, the aggregate is (0.10 × 90) + (0.40 × 90) + (0.50 × 85) = 87.5%. UHS rounds to four decimal places. The prospectus annexure is the authority, so check it for the exact method.
Read the prospectus and the Punjab admission policy for the session on uhs.edu.pk first.
Open the MBBS portal and register with your name, father's or guardian's name, email, CNIC/B-Form/passport number and a password. Use one identity only. A second application under a different CNIC or email gets you disqualified.
Choose your seat category after logging in. Options include open merit, disability, Cholistan, under-developed districts and overseas.
Enter your details. Fill in personal information, then SSC and HSSC marks, then your MDCAT score.
Rank every college. The portal requires you to select all colleges for your category. Switching category resets the list.
Upload your documents. Each file must be clear and under 1 MB.
Accept the undertaking.
Generate the fee challan (Rs. 2,000, non-refundable, last cycle). Pay at a Bank of Punjab or National Bank of Pakistan branch, or through 1Bill invoice. The top-up option isn't accepted. Upload the paid receipt on the portal.
Review, print and submit. A confirmation goes to your email.
Edit if needed. You can edit the application until the deadline. After that, the number and order of college preferences lock for good.
Matric and HSSC result cards attested by the relevant board. Pass-out candidates don't need IBCC attestation at application time, but must get it on joining a college.
Punjab domicile certificate.
Your CNIC or B-Form.
A parent's or guardian's CNIC.
For quota seats, extra documents: a disability certificate, under-developed-district education verification, a Cholistan certificate, or Iqama/Green Card/foreign passport for overseas seats.
Expired identity documents are not accepted.
Missing or unclear uploads. UHS rejects incomplete applications and doesn't accept hard copies.
Forgetting to upload the paid challan receipt.
Registering twice under different details.
Changing the seat category after ranking colleges. This wipes your preference order.
Assuming you can fix preferences after the deadline. You can't.
Submitting forged or false documents. This cancels the application or admission and can lead to disciplinary action.

UHS later extended deadlines through a corrigendum (public MBBS to 30 November 2025), so actual dates slid. These are last year's dates, not 2026-27 dates.
UHS publishes a provisional merit list, then a final one, then college-wise selection lists on uhs.edu.pk. Selected candidates download a fee challan from the portal and pay by the due date. Admission is confirmed only when you have both paid the fee and joined the college in writing. Miss either one and the seat is cancelled.
Vacant seats are refilled through upgradation in later lists, which is mandatory. Your merit and your preference order decide whether you move up.
In 2025-26 the public portal covered 17 medical colleges with 3,476 MBBS seats, of which 3,121 were open merit:
King Edward (Lahore)
Allama Iqbal (Lahore)
Nishtar (Multan)
Fatima Jinnah (women only, Lahore)
Services Institute (Lahore)
Punjab Medical College (Faisalabad)
Rawalpindi
Quaid-e-Azam (Bahawalpur)

Sargodha
Nawaz Sharif (Gujrat)

Merit is 10% matric, 40% HSSC Pre-Medical and 50% MDCAT, as an aggregate percentage rounded to four decimals.
You need attested matric and HSSC result cards, a Punjab domicile, your CNIC or B-Form, and a parent's or guardian's CNIC. Quota seats need extra certificates. Each upload must be under 1 MB.
