Women place in our society and Women Rights

Women in past
In the past, women were considered inferior to men. They were not allowed to participate in the social life and its activities. Their activities were confined to domestic jobs. It was believed that women were the maidservants of their husbands.

Women in present
In the modern word, women are taking part in every field of life. Women play a great role in human progress and have an important place in society. They are not inferior to men. They are capable of sharing the responsibilities of life shoulder to shoulder with men. In some fields, they have surpassed men. They have proved themselves more successful and useful in the field of teaching and medicine than men. Man and woman have been rightly compared to the wheels of a carriage.

Women’s responsibilities
The main responsibility of a woman is to preserve the human race. For this she has to bear many hardships. She gives birth to children, feeds them and helps them grow up.
It is quit true that great men have great mothers. The progress of a nation depends upon the way the mothers bring up their children. If the women are educated, the society is bound to progress. She should not neglect her duties as a wife mother.
Women should be given proper education and training. Educated women can do much to reform the society. Being educated, they are today working as police and military officers, too. They are writers. They are poets.

Women place in Islam
In an Islamic society, a woman occupies a very respectable position. In this respect.
Our Holy prophet Muhammad (Blessing & peace be upon him) has said: “Verily the paradise lies under the feet of your mother”.
Quran says: “Women have the some rights in relation to their husbands”.
On other place Quran says: “Treat them politely”.
In the Quran there are many place where the Holy Book tells us the important place of women in society. Islam gives four important places to a woman as doughtier, sister, wife and mother. Islam gives the right to a woman to many independently. In short, Islam gives all rights to a woman, which are necessary.

Conclusion
To conclude, women who were not given the due place and importance in our society, are now being given due position and importance. Women should lead their lives according to the Islam. A woman of today is different from a woman of the past. Her contribution in every field of life is being recognized in every society of the modern word.
