The Sahiwal board of intermediate and secondary education conducts the annual exams of matric and intermediate every year. The board was established in 2012 and is an autonomous organization. The board not only holds the annual exams at the SSC and HSSC levels but also announces the result at the appropriate time. BISE Sahiwal was established by the higher education department and is under the controlling authority of the Punjab government. Sahiwal board ensures the smooth conduction of the exams, issues the result card, arranges co-curricular activities in its jurisdiction, and provides medals and scholarships to the eligible candidates. Many public and private educational institutes are affiliated with the Sahiwal board.
