The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Rawalpindi was formulated in 1977 and considered as one of important board among Punjab boards. Since then every year it is holding the matric and inter exams. At government level the rules and regulations are made for all the boards and they are bound to follow the policies. The major purpose of BISE Rawalpindi Board is to organize all the exams in a fair and transparent way and manage the examinations and provide all the related material and facilities to students. Ministry of Education control all the matters and activities of the board. At this time BISE Rawalpindi is organizing exams for Attock, Chakwal, Rawalpindi and Jhelum divisions. Intermediate level is divided into two parts and science and arts groups are main categories. The board provides training to supervisory staff before the beginning of exams.
