New Grading: 40% Pass Mark and the A++ to U Scale

Cards this year follow the updated IBCC framework. You now need 40% in every subject. Marks map to a 10-point scale from A++ down to U. The old word "Fail" is gone. A U means Unsatisfactory. If you're comparing with last year's card, remember the thresholds have moved.

Not Happy With Your Marks? Re-Totalling

The board has reportedly opened online re-totalling for 15 days from the announcement. Counting from 21 September, that points to roughly 6 October, 2026. Confirm the exact closing date and fee on the board's site before you pay. Re-totalling only rechecks addition and transcription errors. It isn't a re-evaluation of your answers.

What to do after you check

• Save your DMC. Colleges and scholarship offices ask for it.
• If a subject went badly, watch the board's notifications for the Annual-II (supplementary) admission notice.
