Situation Vacant (Contract-Based Recruitment)

Pakistan Railways invites applications from candidates belonging to civil districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for recruitment on a contract basis (02 years) for C-Class Apprentices and essential operational categories.

Selected candidates will be required to:

  • Pass a medical examination conducted by the Divisional Medical Officer, Pakistan Railways (Peshawar)
  • Successfully complete prescribed training

Available Positions

Age Limit

  • 18 to 25 years + 05 years general age relaxation

Additional Age Relaxation

  • Scheduled Castes / Buddhist Community: +03 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Up to length of service or 15 years (whichever is less)
  • Government employees (with 2 years continuous service): +10 years
  • Son of deceased government servant: +05 years

Note: Only one category of age relaxation will be applicable.

Recruitment Quota

  • Open Merit (including 2% for children of deceased employees): 60%
  • Son of Railway Employees: 20%
  • Ex-Servicemen: 10%
  • Orphans (other than Railway): 5%
  • Minorities: 5%

Applicants must submit attested copies of:

  • Educational certificates / diplomas
  • CNIC (National Identity Card)
  • Domicile
  • Character Certificate
  • Three (03) recent passport-size photographs
  • Relationship certificate (for Railway employee quota)
  • Four (04) postal envelopes with complete address and mobile number

  • Include a Postal Order of Rs. 550 (processing fee) in favor of:

Important Instructions

  • Each envelope must contain only one application
  • Clearly mention:

  • Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted
